Event Description: Join the High Desert Food & Farm Alliance for a relaxed evening of painting and wine at Lazy Z Ranch Wines with artist Sally MacAllister. This event is part of Accessibility Week on the High Desert Food Trail and open to everyone. To learn more, visit https://hdffa.org/hdft.
We'll be painting what we see, the view from the Lazy Z tasting room, but imagining it at sunset: the orange sky, the purple Sisters, the green meadow inviting you into your painting. Sally will demonstrate how to simplify your composition into a few simple shapes, focus on the magic of color, and save the details for last.
Event Details:
Date: Thursday,October 1
Time: 5:00 - 7:00 PM
Cost: $40 per person
Capacity: 20ppl
What to Expect: Expect an evening of art exploration, laughter, and amazing mead. Each guest will receive a glass of mead or a small flight, plus a charcuterie board to share. Experience the surprise and joy of putting paint to canvas to create your one-of-a-kind masterpiece. We'll follow an impressionistic path rather than trying to capture a realistic scene, so if you want a pink polka-dotted cow in the middle of your field or honey bees happily buzzing about in the sky, go for it!
What You’ll Leave With: Each artist will take home an 8x8 acrylic painting on a stretched canvas, suitable for framing, keeping or gifting.

Beginners with no prior experience
Friends and family wanting to enjoy a fun evening out
Anyone with an inkling of artistic talent who just wants someone else to bring all the supplies and do the clean up
